The Democratic platform had been stripped of any reference to God and the acknowledgement of Jerusalem as the capitol of Israel. Well, apparently they re-thought their decision (for the better) - Governor Strickland who was the Chairman of the Platform committee took the stage asked for a vote to suspend the rules (which was accepted by a 2/3rds vote) and then offered 2 amendments. The first amendment recognized God in the platform and the second amendment recognized Jerusalem as the capitol of Israel.
We as believing Americans are thankful for these important acts of recognition on the part of this national political body.
