Is God Shaking the earth?

See that you do not refuse him who is speaking. For if they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, much less shall we escape if we reject him who warns from heaven. His voice then shook the earth; but now he has promised, "Yet once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heaven." This phrase, "Yet once more," indicates the removal of what is shaken, as of what has been made, in order that what cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe; for our God is a consuming fire. (Hebrews12:25-29 RSV)

This passage tends to sober us, because it speaks of the shaking of the heavens and of the earth. There is something chilling about the thought of God shaking of the earth, but God is going to shake everything from the education to politics, from medical to spiritual, and from finances to greed. God stands for truth, and even with holding giving Him our best is considered evil in God’s eyes.

In Malachi we read about God’s case against the priests who were those entrusted with God’s message. They displayed an attitude that instead of giving to God their very best, they gave to Him their second best, and God called that evil. Today in many of our pulpits we are giving God our second best, we are not allowing the Holy Spirit the opportunity to speak what is on God’s heart. God is looking for people who are truthful and honest about their sin, their repentance , and their faith. We have people preaching a good story, but their lives do not live up to the standards of giving to God their very best. God will shake the foundations of our lives, so that we will be faced with our own sin of giving God our second best. Shaking is done to see if it will stand after the shaking is all over. To see if the materials used will with stand the shaking. Placing God first in your life is the first defense against God’s shaking, and even if everything else around you gets destroyed, your faith will stand the test

Isaiah 5:20-21
Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness, who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter Woe to those who are wise in their own opinion and clever in their own sight.

We are surrounded by people in all walks of life who call evil good and good evil! These are the days the Bible says are the final days before He returns. We hope you are hearing messages and talking action to getting your heart, and your family ready for His return. The shaking has begun, are you ready?

  1. I fully respect your right to your own beliefs and religion.
    I however, am not interested.
I believe religion is the cause, rather than the cure, of far too many of the world's ills.
So I'd appreciate it if you do whatever needs to be done to remove yourself as my "friend."
    Best of luck.
