The Arab League suspended Syria on Saturday, following another day of mass murder of civilians and deserting soldiers by the Assad regime. Almost all of the 22 members of the Arab League voted to take the unprecedented action against Syria.
Violent armed mobs stormed foreign embassies in Damascus and Latakia on Saturday after the Arab League suspended Syria. Hundreds of pro-government loyalists brandished sticks, stones and knives, shouting slogans in support of President Bashar al-Assad.
Meanwhile, the families of Turkey's diplomats and staff in Damascus are being evacuated from Syria following an attack on its embassy in Damascus. A mob of at least 1,000 pro-Assad rioters hurled rocks and bottles at the embassy in the Syrian capital. Activists have said more than 4,200 people have died since the anti-government uprisings began eight months ago. As a result, the Arab League has ousted Syria.
Syria is quickly becoming a pariah in its own backyard. They are doing a great job of killing its own citizens and seemingly getting away with it, acting as Iran’s puppet. Iran is not a member of
